Founded in 1974, the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE) is an independent, nonprofit organization focused on merging scientific knowledge and research-based practices to create solutions that improve the health, safety, and well-being of individuals, communities, and nations around the world.
Today, PIRE has a significant presence at local, state, national, and international levels as our scientists and experts conduct research and provide technical assistance to guide communities, service providers, and government entities on how to best use evidence-based programs, strategies, and policies to improve public health and eliminate health disparities. Into the future, the dedicated scientists and staff at PIRE will continue to identify innovative research topics, develop comprehensive evaluation strategies, and translate scientific contributions into practical solutions to improve the health of all communities and people.
