AP VENDOR RELATIONS COORDINATOR – MARLBOROUGH, MA

JOB SUMMARY

Handles merchandise vendor inquiries and disputes related to payments and deductions in a timely and accurate manner. Provides courteous and timely service to vendors in order to maintain Buyers bargaining position. Works closely with the AP Processing Group, Distribution Services, Merchandising and Logistics to research receiving and payment issues related to vendor disputes. Takes proper action and/or makes recommendations for dispute research.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides customer service to Merchandise vendors with payment inquires and issues.
Researches vendor disputes and recommends resolution to Management and Merchants.
Tracks vendors call history accurately in Service Now Call system.
Obtains necessary approvals from Merchandising and Finance Management for payback transactions.
Works closely with other areas of Accounts Payable, Distribution Services, Transportation and Merchandising to resolve vendor disputes.
Responsible for handling “special deals” to help maintain Merchants vendor relationships.
Educate vendors on ‘services” offered by TJX. (i.e. Electronic Invoicing, EFT payments)
Manage special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor degree in Business desired. Associates degree acceptable.
Strong customer service / communication skills
Strong organizational and follow through skills
Strong problem solving skills
Strong computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office)
Ability to work independently as well as a team
