Job Description

Mercy Care is a not-for-profit Medicaid managed-care health plan, serving AHCCCS members in Arizona since 1985. Mercy Care is a local company sponsored by Dignity Health and Ascension Health. Mercy Care provides access to physical and behavioral health care services for Medicaid-eligible families, children, seniors, and individuals with developmental/cognitive disabilities. As the Senior Director of Value Based Solutions & Transformation, you will be responsible for supporting transformation within the healthcare system including Value Based program development, oversight, and reporting of all Value Based Performance for Mercy Care programs. This position will also have external and internal facing roles in transformation of health care delivery to achieve improvements in health care quality while reducing costs. You will be expected to create documents for use in programs, collaboration in reporting results of programs, documentation and tracking of all financial aspects of the programs, ongoing review of results and quality improvements and cost savings initiatives. You will lead cross functional teams including finance, data analytics, provider relations and quality to design and implement value-based contracts.

This position is remote and can be worked anywhere within the state of Arizona.

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of health care/health plan experience

• Knowledge and competencies with value-based initiatives, LAN framework, Medicaid and Medicare program requirements and financial models for vulnerable populations.

• Experience communicating clinical and financial aspects of value-based contracts.

• Prior experience working across cross functional internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite

• Extensive data analytic and data compilation experience

• Knowledge of health plan operations and provider relations.

• Reside in Arizona

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Graduate degree in health care

• Professional licensure in health care discipline
