The law office of Nicole B. Erickson, Attorney at Law, P.C., seeks a part-time contract Legal assistant to ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management. You will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of an attorney.

*Responsibilities*
* Provide administrative support to attorney and enhance office effectiveness
* Handle communication with clients, witnesses, etc.
* Administratively support estate planning and probate clients
* Prepare correspondence, trips to the post office
* Communicate via email and phone with clients to schedule and confirm appointments
* Coordinate pick up and drop off of client documents
* Type up and E-file basic legal documents for probate, litigation, and business matters
* Answer phone calls
* Maintain contact lists
* Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars

*Skills*
* Proven working experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary
* Familiarity with Oregon probate law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system
* Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
* Computer literacy - Word, Adobe, HelloSign, Clio, DropBox, and other software
* Proficiency in English
* Excellent secretarial and organizational skills
* Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
* Legal Assistant certification or diploma

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:
* Monday to Friday
* Weekend availability

Education:
* Associate (Required)

Experience:
* Microsoft Office: 1 year (Required)
* Paralegal: 1 year (Preferred)
